The difference between cleaning and deep cleaning
Consumer pressure washers can shift surface dirt, but concrete is a porous material — oil, grease, fuel and organic matter penetrate below the surface and can't be removed by water pressure alone. We apply a specialist degreaser that chemically breaks down the contamination within the concrete's pores, then use commercial high-pressure equipment to extract it from the surface. The result is a genuinely clean slab, not one that looks slightly less dirty.
Garage floors are the most common request, especially where cars have been parked for years and oil has been dripping the whole time. We've restored floors that clients had written off as permanently damaged — the change is often remarkable.
Patios and outdoor entertaining areas
Concrete patios accumulate a different kind of grime — algae, mould, leaf stains and barbecue grease. Wet algae growth also makes the surface dangerous underfoot. We clean and treat patio slabs to remove all of it, restoring both the appearance and the slip resistance. For entertaining areas and pool surrounds, where clean surfaces matter most, a concrete wash makes an immediately visible difference.
Commercial slabs and carparks
Commercial concrete sees concentrated traffic and accumulates oil, fuel and rubber deposits faster than residential surfaces. We work with commercial clients — strata managers, small business owners and landlords — to maintain carparks and forecourts on a scheduled basis. Clean, well-maintained external concrete is one of the most direct indicators of a well-run property.
Optional sealing after the clean
Concrete sealer penetrates the surface and dramatically reduces the rate at which new stains can bond to the slab. It also makes future cleaning easier — most spills wipe off rather than soaking in. We recommend sealing after any deep clean, particularly for garage floors and high-traffic areas. The additional cost is modest compared to the improvement in durability and appearance. Ask about sealing when you request a quote.
